The answer is very simple. Spray drying has been a big part of our DNA from day 1.
Since we were founded in 1937, Spraying Systems has been a pioneer in spray drying. Within the first year we developed our very first spray drying nozzle and in 1951 we registered the SprayDry® name. Over the years we expanded our expertise in drying all types of products including milk, whey, coffee, yeast, spices and infant formula; soaps and detergents; dyes and pigments; fine chemicals; and pharmaceuticals. Experience in all these different industries and processes has helped us to develop a wide range of different SprayDry® nozzles, each with their own characteristics.
Now, 85 years after we started, our SprayDry® nozzles are being used all around the world and are renowned for their high efficiency and long lifetime. In addition, our SprayDry® products are available with food compliant materials to meet EU and FDA regulations. Our wide range of different types and configurations enables you to adjust the particle size and bulk density exactly to meet your needs:
SV SprayDry® nozzles feature a one-piece swirlchamber design for use in medium- and high-flow applications. SV nozzles are typically used for drying whey, milk and ceramics.
SK Series SprayDry® nozzles feature a slotted core design with a very uniform drop size distribution for low-flow applications. SK nozzles are typically used for drying egg products, starch and viscous flavoring.
SB Series SprayDry® nozzles feature a slotted core design with a very uniform drop size distribution for medium-flow applications. SB nozzles are typically used for drying Infant formula, milk, permeates and flavorings.
