Water sustainability audit for meat production facility

One of our valued customers, John Dee, has provided the following testimonial, explaining how Spraying Systems helped improve their efficiency and meet their sustainability goals following a simple spray audit.

John Dee is a beef processing company with an abattoir in Warwick, Southeast Queensland. Recently Evan Harvey, Spray Engineer for South Queensland, audited the spray applications on their site and provided a detailed report with observations and recommendations for each system and nozzle.

Our spray expert Evan identified multiple instances where nozzle wear was resulting in excessive water usage and/or examples of incorrect nozzle types being used. This was affecting the efficiency of John Dee’s processes and leading to losses in water and increased energy usage.

John Dee then adopted the recommendations and gained the benefits. Their water has to be heated, treated and disposed of at the end of the process. So, reducing the amount of water needed meant that they were able to meet their sustainability goals and save money on usage and energy usage.
